Synopsis :

1910. Les vers de Fadil Hasin Ash-Shalmani témoignent d’un fait historique souvent oublié : la déportation de nombreux civils pendant les premières années de l’occupation italienne en Libye. Le court métrage suit les expériences et les souvenirs du poète en utilisant uniquement des images d’archives, subvertissant ainsi la fonction de propagande originale des images.

1910. Fadil Hasin Ash-Shalmani’s verses bear witness to an often forgotten historical fact: the deportation of many civilians during the early years of the Italian occupation of Libya. The short film follows the poet’s experiences and memories using only archival footage, subverting the original propaganda function of the images.
