A Stepanakert, capitale du Haut-Karabakh, les hommes sont au front, les femmes se cachent dans les caves, la réalisatrice Silva Khnkanosian se lance à leur recherche et tient un journal de bord. La vie s’organise sous les bombes, les femmes suivent la guerre à la radio ou surveillent leurs téléphones. Personne ne pense à la défaite. Pourtant, après 44 jours de combats, la radio annonce la capitulation de l’Arménie. Il faut partir.

Armenia and Azerbaijan are engaged in a centuries-old conflict. War breaks out again. In Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, the men are at the front and the women are hiding in cellars. Director Silva Khnkanosian sets out to find them and keeps a diary. Life is organised under the bombs, the women follow the war on the radio or keep an eye on their telephones. No one thought about defeat. However, after 44 days of fighting, the radio announced Armenia’s surrender. It was time to leave.
